Nope ! Especially if you intend to upgrade your bike's engine ---- ANYTHING that you change from "stock" can and most likely would be used to deny a warranty claim......
If you are one of the VERY few that is satisfied with a stock Harley then I suppose that an extended warranty would be more appealing .
If you aren't going to mess with the engine/trans internally I would definitely get an extended warranty. My dad has an 09 ultra, he is never hard on the bike and always used synthetic. Last year the engine spun a bearing I think it was and the engine had to be replaced/rebuilt. If it wasn't for the warranty he would have had to pay almost almost $5,000. I would say its very worth it for that alone.
Sorry, I should have done a search, there is a lot of info on this subject. Like you guys said with my mods I don't qualify.
Thanks for replies, some of these topics get pretty heated.
Based on the mods in your signature, you are not eligible for an extended warranty.

This isn't entirely accurate.
Everyone and every bike is eligible and qualifies for an extended warranty, regardless of mods. The dealer would love to sell everyone an extended warranty. Walk in to any dealer and tell them you want to buy an ESP. See how many turn you down.
The MOCO or dealer has to prove that the modifications done on the bike are the cause or contributed to the repair needed. They cannot simply deny a claim, although they will try, because the bike is no longer stock.
I'm sure you've come across in your search that a warranty claim cannot be denied because non-OEM parts were used. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act provides some protections.
Personally, in most cases, I do not purchase extended warranties. I did for my bike. I have not had any warranty claims yet, but, when needed and the repair qualifies, it can pay for itself.
I guess I'm crazy
I think the extended warranty is worth it
It don't take much of a failure on these new bikes to chew up$1500
The piece of mind is worth something also.
I never bought one on my last 7 Harley's
But I did on the one one I bought last week
I'm ok with it

I put it in my '05 when I bought it, I've broken about even with it. I renewed it for another four years, at 95,000 miles I'm betting (literally) I'll come out ahead this time.
I's not so much the repairs but peace of mind when I'm on the road. A major failure could really screw my vacation budget.
