Just FYI. If you're considering a GPS like HD's Road Tech Garmin 665 that can show weather radar on it, these screen shots might be of interest to you. I found this site after lots and lots of research trying to see if the data was detailed enough to help me avoid rain, storms, etc. I know smart phones can get similar stuff. But I often travel in areas where there is no cell service. This is the best I could find. The Navweather service is actually an add on app available from Sirius XM radio. It does not come with the 665.

Glad you posted this. I need something like this that shows me where I am and where the rain is. The cell phone doesn't do that very well. I'm planing a trip out west and this might be just what I've been looking for. Any idea of costs?
