Anyone out there have any experience with a company by the name nexlsports.com that sell NXT helmets? I have been waiting four weeks now and recv'd another email saying my helmet is backordered another ten days, and in ten days I pretty much expect to get the same email again, and again, and again........ I should have bailed the first hint of this kind of wait! I am pretty impulsive and when I see something I want I want it now! Could have picked the helmet up at bike week from a vendor at the Harley shop but was worried I would gert screwed around on the refund so I passed. Curious if anyone else has ever dealt with these guys and if they had a similar experience. ??
i hope it works out for you and all, but i have bought all my helmets in person, yknow, after trying them on to make sure they fit comfortably and all.
The nexl look like a good helmet, but just reading this thread would steer me clear of them. Besides all that, I will never buy a helmet off the internet. I have a very Oval head. I HAVE to try them on to see if it gives me a hot spot on my forehead or not.
I am headed to the carbonfiber.com factory in Orlando as soon as I fit one so I can "lighten my load".
I'm in the same boat ChiefGator, I also have an oval head. I've ordered two helmets off the internet and they both don't fit me. In fact i can't find a helmet I like, they all look like I am wearing a helmet from Space *****, so I am still wearing a non DOT helmet.
I will post how the custom fitting at the carbonfiber.com factory goes. I hear they are great and will custom fit the liners to your mellon right there when you get it. Come on down to the Sunshine State, Biketoberfest maybe, swing into Orlando. A hour detour from Daytona or so, and try them out. I will let ya know how it goes.
I have one and like it a great deal. However I purchased it from J&P 5 yrs. ago. I was apprehensive of the possible fit issues but lucked out I guess. Good luck to you.
Here's the history on mine...........and I still haven't received it.[sm=icon_flaming.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=icon_beat.gif]
