I would say yes there is a difference, they have the oil tanks in different locations don't they? I would think the Road King would be similar to the Dyna's with the oil tank by the transmission. I believe softails and sportsters are all under the seat.

The difference is the softail dip stick knows he's got the coolest ride while the rest of the dip stick's just think they do. And to pull one from Clammy (he he he he)

Got a reply from the seller. Cant use this particular dipstick on the FLH because the sump isnt deep enough and it interferes. FYI it was a dipstick that used a dagger blade as the dipstick part and a chrome skull got the handle.
