I was always a believer in if something is going to break it will happen in the first year. I have 4500 in nine months so far and plan to double or tripple that though the spring and summer. So far everything has been fine. I think if a bike is only ridden a few hundred miles per year it's probalbly worth it. The nice thing is you can always add it before the two years are up.
