Nuts, bolts, a few tools, electric tape, zip ties, bulbs, fuzes, jb weld, wire brush, and once I found a can of PBR unopened then I drank it. Don't know when it got there or how old it was.

I bought a CruzTOOLS RTH3 RoadTech H3 Standard Tool Kit on Amazon. They really thought of just about every size tool you would need and put it in a compact pouch that doesn't take a lot of room in the saddle bag. I love it and rely on it for all the tinkering I have done.

I also have a windshield bag with a lot of stuff in it. Just off the top of my head:

- 2 little LED flashlights with extra batteries, to never be stuck in a dark parking lot again with no light!
- Kickstand pad
- Extra shades, darkened and clear
- Extra gloves
- Reading glasses (if I ever lost my main pair, which happens often, I'd be totally f'ed since I can't read crap w/o them)
- misc other items I can't remember

Need to put together a 1st aid kit!

Yep, the most important items to have is a cell phone and my AMA towing card. I do carry a screw driver, pliers, clears, Allen wrenches, jumper cables and zip ties in my swing arm bag however.

I find uses for a couple of wide rubber bands often.

No need for all that crap + kitchen sink...just have roadside assistance # in wallet, box of condoms, 5th of whiskey and roll of quarters. Pretty much covers all bases and lightens the load...

After reading this thread again I've decided I need to put a hitch on my train and haula spare bike with me in case of a breakdown.

here is my old list for my Level 1 First Aid Kit. It has since been added to but its pretty close. this is the kit that I always have with me including on my bike. My wife has a Level one with her too. I really only use the Level 2 If I'm with more people than my level 1 could handle.

in my opinion the most import features of a good first aid kit is adequate blood stoppers/sponges, wound cleansing and coverage. get the wound under control until the professionals get there. Level 2 is a different story.

FYI i am no medical professional by any means.

suture kit and burn gel was added along with a few other things

I always was taught "Dont over think it"

Only when i take a extended Trip that takes me out of state do I take a 10 n 1 Screwdriver,, DogBone wrench, 6"-8"-10" adjustable, Set of allen Wrenches, and a roll or Elc tape.

the other 96% of the time I don't carry anything Cept a

CELL PHONE...

I always have a couple band aids in the billfold...
