Doubt it was the helmet you weren't wearing that tipped him off but the smile you were,

Trouble with us is we're generally enjoying ourselves too damn much to even think to turn our heads and crap on the guy next to us sitting on a Honda.

Feel sorry for the guy,,, "potato envy".

Sounds like neither of you was too bright when it comes to appropriate riding gear!
