All of you lurkers and tire kickers who are having trouble pulling the trigger on a Harley Davidson should JUST DO IT!
I was having a particularly crappy day at work so I drove home, threw on my jeans, boots, jacket and helmet and took my bike out for a one hour therapy session. I am refreshed and regenerated.
I do a lot of fun and exiting things but pound for pound riding my Harley is the most fun I have (with my clothes on....)
I kicked tires for about three years and with my job working on an isolated island on Lake Superior from April thru October with some time on the mainland during the summer for the past 10 years it was kinda hard to justify, but I pulled the so called proverbial trigger last July since I was retiring, in hind sight should have done it long time ago, bike would have been paid for and it doesn't matter if its a 30 mile or a 300 mile ride. Its therapy for the soul and mind ain't another feeling like it and one I had lost track of from my youth ! Fortunately I was in a position to afford it.
I almost pulled the trigger, but alas, the weather changed and here I sit gazing upon my bike with a big grin! The weather finally changed and I too went home earlier today, parked the car and broke out the bike! It was only a 1/2 hour ride earlier but it will be another ride when I get to go home. As for the trigger, with any luck it'll stay put away. At least until the next range time!
