It does look dramatically better. Much more visual impact. Good job with the lines. I would have squiggled all over.

Panheadrich-
Do you have any paint experience? Is it possible to sand the clear without destroying the design inside the pin stripes? My only hesitation is I'm worried about the paint being destroyed by sanding too deep. Should I be concerned about that or is that not really an issue?

Definitely, the black really makes the paint on your bike stand out!

That's why I was always told to stay away from the bike rally pin stripers because they're only painting over the clear and eventually the stripes will fade or start to crack and peel.

What would happen if you painted the black, without removing the clear, then just spray more clear on top?

If you like it then get a can of clear from your local auto dealer and put a few coats over what you have done.

It like putting vinyl decals on a tuner car or bike or whatever if you want em to be permanent then clear over em.
