Question On Kickstands....

Default Question On Kickstands....

I installed a new set of wheels last week...a 21" front and 17" Rear...on a Street Glide...after doing this with the Bike Taller...is Sit way over on the stand now...Whats the best option ..Shorter Stand..??? So the Bike will stand more straight up....Input

You mean longer stand? Yes,or lower the bike,to get it back down to stock height.

Not much else you can do but this...or put your old wheels back on.

When I put longer shocks on my Sportster I made a 3/4 inch aluminum spacer the size of the pad that touches the ground, drilled two holes thru the jiffy, put screws in it and painted it black. Looks and works great.

I remember back in the old days (early 70's) when people would extend their front end without changing the rake in their frames. It would leave the bike as you described. Many would, rather than going through the expense of buying a new one, just heat then bend the old kickstand to where the bike sat at the desired angle. It worked, but I always thought it looked like crap.
