I can read through your post how excited you truly are. I like reading these type of threads. I know we're all different and all have our different perspectives. Yet it seems that a Harley for many people seems to be the bike that you either understand or you don't.
It's obvious that you now do. I love riding a motorcycle. I haven't owned anything other than Harley Sportsters but have ridden other Harleys and other brands. I'll always ride aa Harley in one form or another. There are many great motorcycles brands out there but a Harley just has the kind of soul that the other brands don't.
Now that you have your wife on board, just don't take her into one of the dealers. She'll get all leathered up and put you into the poor house. That money should be reserved for the bike.
By the way, although it's debatable about whether or not a guy should or shouldn't be dressed head to toe in HD gear, I doubt many will argue the rules don't apply to women. I think women look great in a leather jacket and chaps. No matter what logo is on the gear.
