Sounds like your idea of riding jackets is crotch rocket brands. Unless your Bates is old school.
Don't think you'll find a Schott one piece suit in their catalog!
well i order the bates, custom order in 1994 20 years ago when i traded my gs550e for a yfz600 limited edition
since then 7-8 bikes jap and italian, and 2 Harley's and a custom Harley i built part by part from scratch
i like ALL BIKES and the BEST GEAR
i grew up 15 min from NH speedway, penguin racing school, Laconia bike week
i can kind of remember going to the track in mid/late 1970s seeing kz1000 and being amazed as a little kid 5-6 i have a pic from the pits of me on one of team race bikes
Have a 30+ yr. old one hangin' in the closet. I out grew it I didn't wear it out and I wore it a LOT. Used to be made in USA don't know if they still are.
A Schott isn't a fashion jacket. It's the original motorcycle jacket, designed off what WWII airmen wore. Now, because everyone from Brando to the Ramones have worn one, it's become an iconic American design. Still made in the U.S. of the best materials you can find. Including that HH of yours.
The prices are not much higher, or even on par, with the prices for the overseas made Harley jackets that don't really come close.
