Schott makes both real motorcycle jackets (Perfecto) and fashion jackets. Your horsehide will need to be dragged behind your bike for ten miles down a rocky dirt road just to break in.
Don't worry.
Schott makes a quality motorcycle jacket. I had one for about 15 years that was as good as new till the day I wrecked and totally tore both elbows all to pieces. My hide was undamaged.
A Schott is definitely not just for show. It's for riding and just happens to look great off the bike.
HH is durable as hell and none of the textile stuff made today will compare to its abrasion resistance. The design of a Schott Cafe Racer is pretty much second to none in terms of utility on the bike.
The only thing a Schott does not typically have is amor. (Impact resistance.)
But truthfully, if you really want that kind of coverage, you can buy any number of mesh undershirts that will house the armor for you.
You have a great riding jacket. Not a showpiece.
It's going to take a while to break in. Like months, if not a solid year. But once it does, nothing will cut through the wind and feel as natural on the bike and off it.
