Yep, in town or out of town, my OL would NOT be pleased. Of course, I wouldn't put myself in that position to begin with. Neither of us are cheaters so, it's more about respect than anything else. IMO, the fact that OP didn't even think about that, shows that maybe he's either really naive OR doesn't give a **** about his OL's feelings.
Let's reverse the situation and say that OP was out of town. His OL is out partying at a bar and some guy, who she's never met before, asks her if she wants to take a ride. Would he be OK with that?
The way I see it, except in certain situations (break downs, etc), if you're in a serious relationship, that throne belongs to the Queen. And in my case, the Princess as well. Any other wench is SOL.
