I had a 2000 Dyna Wide Glide With the Square Mirrors And I thought they were Awesome to say the least, now the bike and the mirrors are gone for ever from me. I now have an 07 RKC with the new style mirrors and I have to tolerate them, but I don't love them at all. Can I still buy the square mirrors for a bike of years gone by?
I did prefer the cheapo rectangle and round stock mirrors from years passed as well. They were infinitely adjustable and provided a good size from which to see the goings on behind you.
My bet is they will fit, and as they were a common take off item, I'd also bet they can be found cheap at swap meets or eBay. In fact IIRC, they were only about $15 when new from the Moco.
As a side note, I played at a 1% party back in the late 90s and I saw a bunch bikers all huddled around a bike. They appeared to be looking closely at the mirror. Upon closer look, they had the mirror articulated so that it was lying flat, providing them with an ideal surface from which to ingest certain snortable substances.
