OK, Looks like the Harley filter for the Big Twin engine filters 5 microns. The Harley filter for the Sportster engine filters 30 microns. The ebay unit does 35 microns, so this might be acceptable for a Sportster but I'm not so sure about my Twin Cam engine.

Different size micron filtration is for different applications. The new Twin filter can have smaller holes because the oil pump is on the feed side. Do not use a twin cam filter on an Evo because the pump is on the return side and the oil will get caught up in the filter because it does not have the pump forcing it through. Permanent oil filter, kind of sounds like a permanent condom.
