Trying to track down my old man's bike he sold on Vancouver island Canada in the mid 90's..It was candy apple red with a custom red seat, which was changed after he sold it.Also had red painted cast wheels, turn out pipe with louvered heat shields..He died a couple of years back and i was hoping to track the old girl down..

Do you know who bought it from your father? You can start there. It's probably changed hands a couple of times in the past (almost) 20 years. The color could have changed as well as other parts of the bike. That said, how many 85 FXE bikes can there be in Vancouver?
No idea who bought it, My father moved a few times since then, and I can't find a bill of sale or anything with the serial # on it.. I hope no one repainted that bike.. It had one of the coolest emblems HD ever put out in my opinion..

In the days of eBay it could literally be anywhere. I had an '85 Wideglide that after 20 years, I decided to list on eBay. I gotta call from a guy from Australia who saw it and he came to my house and paid a good sum for it. He was crossing the states specially looking for '84-'88 Evos and had arrangements with a container ship to send them all back to Australia. Said there was an import tariff on newer bikes (or something to that effect) that made those particular bikes very desirable. In total he bought about 40 bikes and told me after the fact he profited about $2500 per bike on the haul. He kept my bike for himself. Sent me pics of it after a few mods he had to make to pass the inspection there. Now my beloved old Evo is cruising the streets down under. Unfortunately, in this day and age your dad's could be too.

I have a few scenarios in mind..
It's been sold 3 times since and stripped and changed..
It's sitting in a shed somewhere and neglected and rusty..
It's still with the guy who bought it and has no interest in internet or forums...
Keep a look out friends, I would certainly appreciate it..
