To the best of my knowledge all dealerships in Canada go through Deeleys , as was stated it may be a different tax issue . But you should be able to buy from any dealership you want and just pay applicable taxes in your province .
Something like this woulda drove me to the nearest Kawasaki dealer. If I can't have a Harley then A big twin Kawasaki is a close second. Oh I forgot about new Indian Chief. Hmmm
Yep I'd ride my new Indian Chief over to follow up with the GM and show him how much money they lost
thats a load of BS we have three dealers within 1.5 hours ( i work at one of them)
and we have all sorts of people from different areas buying bikes . that dealer is LYING

They do, and thanks to that, the way you Canukistanians buy Harleys is very, very different than the way we do.
A Canadian citizen can't buy a Harley in the US and take it back to the GWN. Used bikes are fine, but a freshly-titled new one is a no-no.
Sent an email to the Redrock dealer asking if he'd sell me a bike, this was yesterday afternoon,it's almost 4pm and haven't heard back, there not that busy.I feel like selling my bike and going back to rice, very very very discouraged over this.

It's even worse than that, buying used you have to purchase and replace the speedo to a Harley metric one, and you must replace any aftermarket pipes with the 'factory' exhaust! All this thanks to Deeley's being in bed with the gov't.
As I said earlier in the post,I did call HD customer service and left a message about my concerns, they got back to me today and said all that she is aware of is the 1000 off any new HD,she didn't know anything about the extra 1000 that Redrock is offering on a new Streetglide,so it looks like a dealer doing his own thing, but he won't sell outside his Province.
So I called my "local" dealer here in NB and asked him to run the numbers on a trade for a new Streetglide,I'll wait to hear what he comes back with and then I'll tell him what the other dealer is offering and why can't I get that deal.A 1000.00 could make or break this deal,I have a family budget, always have and it works for us,so I have to stay with a payment I can live with,or else I'll wait til next year.

Crock-O-*****. Buddy has purchased two new HD's from a local dealer and when they wouldn't budge on the price for his third one we took a ride to another place about 150 miles away. He drove the new one home that night.
I just bought a new 14 FLHTK from a Montreal dealer. I live in the Toronto area. Quebec dealer was offering free extended warranty (2+3). MSRP was exactly the same, paid Quebec sales tax which was higher than Ontario but got a rebate back for the difference after I titled it here in Ontario. No hassle on either end.
