Kevin, thanks for the info. Quick question: what do I use to spray on the fins to take the oil residue off quickly and harmlessly.

I apologize for a question like this that might make me sound like a rookie, but I'm a life long sport bike (plastic bike) guy recently converted to Harley. So, I'm not a newbie, just new to the ins and outs of Harley mods, cleaning, service etc.

If I buy the one I listed above, do I need to add a tuner right away or do you think I can ride around for a month or two until I save the money to buy the tuner?

Thanks,

Tom

Kevin,

Also, before I click the final purchase button, please verify that this part DK-AC587-CCY-TC will fit my 2013 FLD Switchback.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,

S100 cleaner is what HD recommends, and you can get it online or at any HD dealership. I have a bottle of it and use it now and then myself.

Yes, that 587 will fit your Switchback. That's the exact same model A/C I'm running on my personal Softail.

Kevin,

Which Xied setup would you suggest would work best? I have a slip on Cycle Shack canister. http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/EFI-Tuners_c74.htm

I'm guessing this one, but want to be sure http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/FL-V...VIED-10-NR.htm

Also, will this suffice with my setup or should I go full tuner?

Thanks,

Tom

Hey Tom,

Good talking with you on the phone. Either one will work well (FL-ViED-10 or FL-XiED-10), and here's the link to the thread I was referencing regarding tuners-

Kevin, Order was placed. Thanks again for the excellent information. I'm sure this setup will be just what I'm looking for. I wanted to stay away from the big box manufactures and feel that what I'm learning on this forum, and from guys like yourself, is taking me in the right direction.

Default something that we don't think about

Ask the supplier two questions...

If the tuner fails can I get a refund?
If the tuner installation damages my bike, can I get reimbursed?

Trust me I'm still stinging from not doing that and I'm out almost a grand.

In the end I just went with the download and its running great.

2 cents

Not quite finished yet but was able to get most of it done during lunch time. Went together pretty easily.
