I personally wouldn't. But, I'm biased toward Dyna's

It's a good deal if you prefer the Fatboy. If it makes you feel good, do it.

I would not. I prefer to move to newer and I buy to ride. I would not trade a 96" 6 speed for an 88" five speed in an eleven year old bike. Although Fatboys are nice and I have owned many Harleys that were older than 11 years. It's your call. Good luck.

NADA book for an aniversary edition 2003 fatboy is $9,150 - you would really be trading down in my opinion.

I bought a 2003 Harley FLHTCUI with 2k in 2011. Has been a great bike. I love the Stage one 88/5 speed. And they don't run as hot. Only miss a 6 speed over 80mph.

Those 100 Year Fatboys do seem to hold their value pretty damn well. I'm not a real big fan of the Fatboy and I love the Low Rider so I definitely wouldn't. But if I were a fan of the Fatboy I would. I don't think it is a bad move financially.

I'm not sure I would fork over just under $2K with the trade though.

I am always somewhat leery of extremely low mileage vehicles. That Fatboy has an average of less tha 300 miles a year. It may have been sitting without running for the last ten years. Check it out carefully.

I agree. I've heard of many that have gotten bigger bikes then they could handle and gotten scared or bored when they would try to ride them and they just let them sit until they got up enough desire to sell them. Bottom line, it's your bike, do what makes you happy.
