I took the MSF at the local HD dealer it was a great learning tool, especially since I haven't ridden a motorcycle in 25 years. I believe here in Texas it is required to apply for your M class license. in any case I passed easily and will be taking the written test for the state this week (with MSF Cert riding test is waived) once I have the M on my DL I will be renting a few different model HDs to determine which one I want to become my first Harley

Watching the RLAP video, taking class time or watching others will be useless unless you get out in the cones and put some hours in, creating the muscle memories that will come into play out riding or in an emergency situation.
You will do what you practiced. If you use one finger on the brake lever, that's all you'll have in a panic stop.
Common sense needed too: one guy nearly ran into me when our formation turned a corner. I'm like, 'what the hell?' He said the MSF course told him to use the whole road when turning!
Really? Sheesh!

It was not required here, but it counts as your road test. Good deal. Great class.
