Hi all. Has anybody installed the Dynamic Cluster LED rear turn signal / running / brake lights from Custom Dynamics?
I have a 2014 Road King, and am looking at putting these on.
I'd like to know where you spliced into the running, and brake light wires. Did you splice in the tail light assembly itself, or splice into the wiring harness? If the harness, where at ?
I looked at their install instructions, but it isn't any help. Also called, but the girl on the phone wasn't sure herself.
Not sure if the 14s the same but the clusters plugged in just like bulbs, and the stabilizer goes in between the connectors for the rear lights under left side cover, follow wires from tail lights around left side of fender.all plug n play.except for ground wire and hot to the battery. (Edit, oh I think I read somewhere that the 14's don't need the stabilizer)

Shouldn't have to splice into anything. Take the old bulb out, install the clusters. The one end is the same as the bulb end. So if its an 1157 bulb, then its an 1157 end to the LED cluster. A good pic is further down the page: http://www.customdynamics.com/motorc...c_clusters.htm
At least thats what I did on my SGS. No problems at all.
I used the posi taps supplied by Custom Dynamics and spliced into the wires from the tail light itself. My tail light is also from CD. Orange to orange, red to red and then tuck the wires and taps inside the recessed area inside the tail light. The hardest part was getting the wires out of the back of the turn signal housing. I have bullet signals and there are rubber grommets that the existing wires run through. I drilled a hole in the reflector and ran the CD wires through it and then used a pick to ream out the grommet a little to fish the wires through. Try not to nick the insulation on the existing wires. I put a little silicone spray on the wires and that helped getting them through. The second side went a little smoother than the first.
My bike is an 04, so I don't know if that changes anything.
Skully, that's exactly what I was looking for. Main difference on mine is I will have to drill a small hole in each reflector for the wires. I'll get some rubber grommets and try those. BTW, how long are the wires that come attached to the signals?

They dyanmic clusters are different that the dynamic ringz. You have to run two wires and splice into the turn signal and brake.

I think they're 3 feet. More than long enough.
