I'm a big fan of the UClear units. I'm currently running the UClear HBC120. You can pick them up on clearance right now for $50 shipped on Amazon. They come with a two year warranty. The $50 ones are great for two-up riding, music, and phone calls. You can answer an incoming call just by saying "hello". Mine will connect to my GPS and phone simultaneously. You'll want one of their higher-end models for bike to bike communication.
I like the UClear better than the others because they do not use a boom mic. The mics are built into the speakers. They use two mics with sophisticated noise cancellation, and the sound is crystal clear for the person on the other end of the call.
I do wear a full faced helmet, but I can ride with the faceshield up and make calls where the other party has no idea I'm going 70 mph on my bike.
Check out their website. They offer all the same features as the Sena units. I think that they even have a new one that can pair with other brands.
I just installed my Q2 by Cardo in my Shoei 3/4 helmet and it seems to found good. I have yet to use it on the interstate , the Bluetooth music from my phone works good, I tried the phone but the wife was on speakerphone and it sounded crappy.
Using the Sena SMH-10 and the Bell RS-1 helmet it is very easy to route the wires under the padding for a clean install. Also, the boom mike can be positioned such that it is right in front of you mouth but out of the way and completely unobtrusive. I am pretty satisfied with the Sena setup.
We use the Cardo G9 and they came in really handy on vacation. It connects to my phone for GPS nav but I didn't really use GPS that much. I know I can take and make phone calls with it, but haven't used those functions yet either. It also has FM radio or music can be streamed to it.
fat tony you may have already bought something that works for you. I agree with vaxt on uclear. I watched vidio for installing uclear in full face helmet, so easy. Then I watched a vidio in use (yes), in use on a motorcycle, awesome! You watch 'em ,I think you might go with the uclear unit. I know I will have one on my helmet soon. BIG bonus NO boom mic!
I have the scala rider set up and it works great. Pair phone, nav and up to 10 other riders. Can communicate up to almost a mile or more on flat land maybe a half mile or less in twistys.

I have the HD one for my half helmet. It works great. I have been on rides and received a call going 60-70mph and able to talk and hear. I love the fact that there is no boom mic.
