The usual reason...can't afford it and it's too far. I just can't seeing me riding that far, for 2+ days. Plus, I don't drink, don't like to be around drunks and I really don't like crowds.
And as silly as it may sound, the sight I'd want to see the most would be the Angels. I've been a fan since the 60s. And I never saw any the whole time I was stationed in California.

hey, it's all good! If you don't drink OR like being around drunks, I can see why it might not be fun.

The Angels. Brings back some memories from the late 70's. I'm a Royals fan and remember the battles with Nolan Ryan, Rod Carew vs George Brett, Hal McRae. I used to listen to every Royals game on a little transistor radio. Fun times.

Another non drinker here... In 7 trips to Sturgis I can honestly say I've never encountered a drunk on the street... Well thats not true I saw one sitting, too drunk to walk...
Don't do the wild side while I'm there. BBQ with friends, take a ride, people watch and look at bikes...
As to the crowds. Yes it can get crowed on Lazelle and Main St.
I am going I just don't know when I am leaving or where I am staying yet lol!! I have some major back problems after several weeks of waiting I finally see the specialist on july 30 that's when I find out what my future holds. that's why I am determined to go. this might be my last chance, gonna be a long haul for me 3200 round trip. I am catching hell from my wife but she know's me and at the end of the day she understands. I want to say to everyone heading out I hope you all have an amazing time and that you get back home safely!
