Sun+heat+guitar=disaster was considered, but the distance was fairly short and the sun not that intense. However, it should still be a cheap guitar, but "Delores" my 1994 Gibson J-200 just sounds so sweet. Very difficult to leave her behind.

IMO, the bungee net ranks right up there on the list of mankind's great inventions. If I can fit it in the saddlebag, or bungee it to the luggage rack, I ride the bike.

Bungee net is GREAT for holding the helmet on my t-bag when in a non-helmet state.
That was my 09 Road King, spent 9 months on the Road living the dream. I put all my household items in storage and hit the road before finding a place to settle down again. Traded that bike in after 3 1/2 years with 62k miles on the odometer.
