Its always been Softail for me as well!!! Until the 2014 CVO Road King! Never liked the styling of the OE King. For 2 up its not even close. Big differance in room and comfort when riding 2 up when compared to my Fatboy..
Zakk - that's a really sweet looking RK. Blends right in with the SG crowd.
I'll probably be crucified for this but I think in most daily riding the lean angles are overstated. I very rarely rub floors or exhaust on my heritage. It was the same way with my sporty.

No crucifixion. You are right. For around town, lean angles don't really make a difference. That's why I prefaced my post with "it depends on how you ride." Lean angles matter if, like some of us, you like to ride aggressively through the twisties or take corners at higher speeds. One of my riding buddies rides a metric bike that has terrible lean angles and it slows him down alot and makes him ride much more conservatively. With all due respect (and I do like the looks of the Heritage), I would not own one. They really don't lean well at all. So, it would not fit at all how I like to ride. Nothing wrong with it for a different style of riding.
I've got my evo Heritage set up perfect for the wifey and I……no problem traveling whatsoever. I have a nice trunk bag that I secure on the luggage rack, and we go for days sometimes. I'm not a fan of the "feel" of the RK nor am I crazy about the looks….especially that God awful headlight.
I've had my Heritage for 8 yrs now.. and I think it already rides as good as a RK.. I've rode them several times and I wouldn't trade my bike even for a RK.... just my opinion...
Not all Softies ride like the Heritage does.. I've said many time the Heritage is the Touring bike of Softails...
