Anyone else remember the old Navy cartoon showing two guys? One guy, barechested, with a huge tattoo across his chest that says, "Zelda," is reading a Dear John letter. His buddy says, "Don't worry, you can always find a new girlfriend named Zelda."
Hmmmmm interesting comments in this one.... Yep I got one, but sort of hard to read now since it is 40 years old. Bought a 1956 Panhead when I was but a sprout from someone I have call "Brother" for many moons. He is dead now from lead poisoning and when he sold me that bike he said "Time ya got branded too" seemed like a good idea at the time and ya know perhaps it was because when I look at it I remember.....
I never judge a man for his choice of art or lack of because one thing we all got is the right to sport what we want right? Oh and cool tat OP

Reason: I kan not speil
Glad I came across this thread, I just booked my artist to do a full sleeve but he is in high demand and I have to wait 8 months.
I have a question regarding flag tattoos. I know the flag code frowns against wearing ole glory as clothes but what about flag tattoos? The main element of my design will be a classic 50's pinup girl on a same era Harley (not branded) see the links 1&2 below without the road sign background. Behind that I was thinking of putting a large flowing American Flag similar to the one shown in the 3rd link below. My assumption is if I want to abide by the code I probably shouldn't do that, thoughts?
I know many will say just do what you want but I want to respect the flag and those who have put their lives on the line defending it. However, I would like to display my patriotism for our nation and military.
And before anyone else asks I know I have personally broken the flag code before but I do try to abide by it and since this will be permanent I'd like to do it right.
Used to be if you had a lot of ink it meant you were in an MC, in the service or you were the drummer for Motley Crue. Now 18 yr old girls walk around with full sleeves.
Back in the 70's I used to screw this really hot chick with very cool tats , both arms and almost a sleeve on one arm, nice colors red roses hearts etc ( kinda like the 60's retro hot rod gals you see with tats now days, ) very fitting for this chick, man she was great and way ahead of her time.
I think of her often still to this day.
Some chicks with tats are hotter n hell.
Ahhh the good old days........................................
I was at breakfast at the feeding trough with the girlfriend one morning and when I went up to the buffet to get a plate full of meat covered in gravy, a guy two or three tables back said something to her and then asked her if she rode motorcycles. She smiled and said "yes, why do you ask?" to which he replied, "I asked because of the tattoos."
It's funny though because she told him that she only rides on the back and it's her boyfriend that owns the Harley...which is me. The only body "mods" I have are 2 gauge tunnels, one in each ear. No tats or anything else.
