I in no way trivialize what she is doing and what she has gone through, but there are many of us on this forum that are doing exactly what she is doing. We have many members on here that are missing arms, legs, and various other body parts and still ride. Her prosthesis is the same type I have and I am in no way blowing my own horn. I'm simply saying that she isn't the first, only, or in any rare. There are a bunch of us riding with artificial limbs. If you want to see real courage, visit a orthopedic surgeons office some time and see what everyday people are living and functioning with or should I say without. Kids, teens, adults, senior citizens, men, women, and all of them have some sort of abnormality. Arms, legs, feet, hands, backs, etc. It's one of the most depressing places on earth and in short order makes you very grateful for what you have. The video did point out one very valid point. Prosthetic devices have come a long way and they are still very much in the beginning stages of development. Every time I go to see my guy, he has something new, or improved. The vacuum sockets are the best thing that has been developed for amputees in the last century. I haven't had a pressure sore in at least 6 years and those are about the most painful sores you can possibly imagine.
People like her and Gypsy Lady make the world a better place by showing us the things that are possible. I know if anything "bad" happens to me, I would look to them as inspiration to not only continue, but persevere.
Thanks, Doll... But this lady's been through it too! Respect to Miss Cat!
Guys tend to think we're the tough gender, but ladies like you and Cat are proof that tough isn't just a man's territory. Just being on crutches for a couple months once depressed the heck out of me; I have a lot of respect for folks that can overcome physical disability.

There's a little U-Tube button in the lower left corner of the video window, just click on that and it opens it in a U-Tube page that plays normally. Or just use this U-Tube link:
