spitting and sputtering

I have a 2006 harley Electra glide classic starts up great go to take off the first mile or two it spits and sputtering after that runs great let it sit for over a half hr after a 5mile ride or even a 200mile ride it does it all over again the first mile or two spitting and sputtering what could be the problem

Carb or EFI? 06 had injector issue recall. Does yours have the original 8 degree injectors or were they swapped out to the 25 degree?

Check the fuel system.

I was told I still have the 8deg injectors yes its EFI wonder if I call harley if they take care of it if there was a recall I bought the bike used I run 93 octagon

I believe it was a campaign and not a safety recall (which it should have been) which means it would only have been free while under warranty as opposed to free at anytime for a safety recall. I'm betting they will charge you for swapping out the injectors to the 25 degree.
