brake lever

Default brake lever

does anyone know how or what kind of grease or oil that will fit inside of the tiny space to use on my brake level plunger? the lever won't push back out enough all the time so the brake light stay on

If your master cylinder piston is sticking, I would suggest a rebuild instead of treating a symptom. JMHO.

I have the same issue with mine. The plunger slides in and out of a rubber seal. Over time the plunger shaft/seal dries out. I use a paintball gun oil. It is 100% synthetic, non-toxic, won't freeze and won't harm o-rings or seals. It works good but I have to re-oil it every few months. Any food safe lubricant should work. The food safe part is not important on a motorcycle but they are designed for o-rings and seal usage.

Also, you should take the hand controls apart to get good access to plunger.

thank you for that advice I look up this stuff call inox and with the needle straw it came with from the harley dealer i was able to penetrate right into the side and around the plunger and now it like brand new again
