They're both going to breathe more air than your bike can eat. They're both going to route the hot, oily, oxygen depleted air into you throttle body and engine.

You can fit either one of them with an external venting system.

So it is just a matter of which one you like the looks of better.

Between those two, they are 6 in one hand, a half-dozen in the other. We use a ton of both at our shop, I happen to have Big Suckers on both of my bikes, but would run the S&S without hesitation if I could use the covers I have/like. Get either one and you will be happy....

Are they both stage 1 kits? I dont like the way they look. I really like my stock look but no clue what would fit into my stock set up. Also dont want to spend a lot of money on this

"Stage 1" has really no set meaning, but most would agree a "Stage 1 upgrade" includes a better intake, better exhaust, and a fuel remap/carb jet upgrade...

So, if that intake flows better than stock, it could be considered part of a 'Stage 1' upgrade...

You can keep your air filter cover and install a SE air filter behind it. There may be other brands of filter you can alternatively use. You can find the SE stage 1 air filter by going to the Shop tab on the H-D website, 29000009A in black or 29000019A in silver. You may also be able to get one at reduced price from an on-line discount dealer.

Either one will be part of a stage 1. To completed stage 1 you will need and exhaust system, and the most important component, a tuner.....Take a look at the picture I provided. of the 4 images at the top your bike with an Arlen Ness Stage 1 Big Sucker would look like the bottom left picture. It would consist of a high flow backing plate and a serviceable high flow K&N filter, all of this would fit under your stock cover keeping the looks stock for around $130....
