Default Going one degree cooler

I want to go one degree cooler onto an the stock plugs. Currently using HD plugs on a 2003 1200c. SE pipes, KN filter.

I've called around looking for the NGK dcpr8e for my bike, everyone tells me they don't fit my model and year?

I've seen post that others use them, however I just want to get your thoughts on my year and model for thse plugs.

Thanks in advance!

There is a lot of debate about this. But the person who's opinion I would trust most is Dris at Twin Motorcycles due to his extensive dyno testing experience on Sportsters. He recommends the DCPR9E. I have run them and the bike seemed very slightly smoother compared to the stock plugs. You could contact him and ask his thoughts on you running an 8 instead of a 9. By the way, unless they have changed it the NGK website list the wrong plug number. Don't ask me why but it is common knowledge. Hope this helps.
