Default HD Air Pump

I recently bought a 2009 Road King. I have read several articles and posts about air pressure in the shocks. My question is has anyone used a manual pump other than the HD pump. The ones Dennis Kirk sell only go to 30 or 35 lbs. The HD manual recommends 50 lbs for my setup riding 2 up. Does anyone know other companies that sell small pumps with a gauge on it for less than the HD pump that reads more than 35 lbs.

Hi
I bought and just receive the Progressive Suspension air gauge. Works perfectly and is less costy than the HD one. I read that Progressive made it for HD somewhere in this forum. Make sure you select the GP3-60 model up to 60psi (max pressure for my RKC is 50 psi according to manual).

Hope that helps not too late.

Better be careful. Most bicycle pumps have an air capacity greater than a motorcycle air chamber.

The Harley pump is $50, and will read up to 60 pounds. Has s built in gauge snd pressure release. The pressure release is a very convenient way to get the perfect pressure.

IMHO...you can't go wrong with the HD pump...and there is not much to save for the functionality.

Again...my humble opinion..your's may vary.
