Default Throttle cable question for FLTCUI

I'm looking at putting a set of 14" apes on my 96 FLTCUI but I am having a very hard time finding cables. All of the cables I find are for carbed bikes. Wouldn't cables for fuel injected Electra Glides work if I had the length? I could go with some 10" bars and retain all the stock wiring and cables, but what fun would that be.....

I had a little bike shop I like to deal with sold me and then cut off an inch of cable and resolider another ball back on the end. No big deal to them and it looked and has been working great.

Made me think if you could maybe find a company that would custom make you one. Taking your dimensions, cable, sleeve and the needed ends.

Or get one close and cut and change the ends as needed. The right pieces and it wouldn't be that bad.

I had a 1984 Electra Glide and the only cable I could find even though it was all stock needed to be cut down.

I'm sure that when I converted my '98 from EFI to carb the original cables worked just fine. Did a bunch of research about the conversion and never once did anyone say anything about having to swap the cables.
