Default Exhaust getting thin...?

So I have a Supertrapp Supermeg that I bought in 2010 when the 120R went in. It looks as thought it is getting thin around where the muffler mates with the head pipe.

I guess it will give up eventually, but is this a little too soon? I tthink I'm +50,000 km, 30,000 mi on the motor and exhaust.

I guess I wanted a chrome one anyhow....

I've had mine longer, although with fewer miles than yours. I have the muffler off at present, but haven't noticed any thinning on it. Your experience suggests to me that your muffler has been moving around where it joins the collector. It should be as solid as a rock there, so that the entire system moves as a single entity.

Only problem with mine is the black coating. It started to rust through after a year and a half. I've sandblasted, and re-painted a bunch of times ~4? Also it has material loss on the inside after riding in the elements. It rusts, I clean it.

It's all cool - I bought a new one - in chrome
