Default 2016 Dyna Switchback aftermarket air cleaner and exhaust questions.

So I'm new to the site and apologize if this is the wrong place to post this. I just bought a 2016 Dyna Switchback and am about to install a Vance and Hines 2 into one pro pipe on it. I have two questions... I've heard you have to do a retuning for the fuel injection system, and would like to learn more about what goes into that and why. Also, should I bother installing an aftermarket air cleaner? Supposedly the 2016 has a "high flow" air cleaner to it. Any knowledge would be great, so thanks in advance!

Once you install a free flowing exhaust without the catalytic converter you'll need to enrichen the air to fuel ratio by using one of a few different methods so the bike will not run too lean.
1. A dealer download to the ECM
2. A set of Vieds or Xieds
3. A programmable Tuner like a Screaming Eagle, TTS, Power Commander, or Fuelpack3.

Great reply from Old above. Welcome to HDF. In this Tech part of the forum we have a dedicated fuel injection section, where you will find a lot more on the subject. Be aware that you will find some members who believe there is no need to do anything, but some of us don't agree and the proper thing to do is as above.

Thanks for the quick replies! So a retune is a must, got it. But what about that air cleaner? Should I go aftermarket on that as well, or just stop at the exhaust?

Your'16 already has a high flow A/C. Change it only if you want something aesthetically different.
