I bought my first Harley ('09 Fatboy) with a screen. My (previous) Rocker C and wife's Breakout is naked. I'd love to keep the screen attached but the buffeting (turbulence) at normal riding speeds on the open road is terrible! Is this how it is? Any solution to this?
It measures 580mm (22.8") wide and 450mm (17.7") high - taken from above the head light. I am 6'3" (1.9m) tall - my line of sight is just below the screen when I sit on the bike.

I have a 19" on my Road King and I see just over the top of the screen. The buffeting I may experience on my chest isn't a problem as long as there's no buffeting around my head. (FWIW.)
Next time you experience buffeting, hold your arm horizontal accrossed your chest and see if that helps. Most often it is air flow from under the shield rather than over. Maybe deflectors on forks are the answer. I hate the looks, but enjoy not buffeting
My screen is not adjustable. I will try the arm test and see if things improve. I'd like a smaller screen though! My Big Block V8 Boss Hoss has a small screen and it works great.

At 6'3" you're looking THROUGH the screen? I'm 5'8", have 18" screens on 3 Harleys, and my line of sight is well above the top of the screen, with no buffeting to speak of.
You might try a shorter screen, or get a loaner from your dealer. BTW, these polycarbonate screens are really easy to shorten. I cut one of my shields down to 18" from the 23" that was on the bike when I bought it, and you can't tell it from store-bought. Check out YouTube, there's plenty of videos there.
