100 octane is a lot of overkill for a stock Harley motor.

I was bored this fall and put half 110 leaded and 91 non oxy for half and half mix in my catless 10.5 comp motor. So about 100 octane. You know what I noticed? A wonderful smell and a lighter wallet. It *may* have been a tiny bit more responsive and smooth, but i am sure that was placebo affect. Won't do a thing for your stock motor. And will eff up your O2 and cats.

any performance increase you feel will be in your head. If you have a tuner capable of adjusting the ignition tables to better suite the higher octane fuel you may be able to eek out enough to actually feel it in the seat or your pants, but short of that you will have no performance increase As mentioned you will most likely suffer, and in the process probably make an already too lean stock bike even leaner.

Your bike will actually run hotter using octane that isn't needed.

Try it...... I run race fuel in and EVO regularly as I get it for nothing after sat night races. Runs very well and cool. Over 100 octane is to fast of a burn and a waste but 100 down seems to do well. My 103 does not like 89 but I don't use it in anything. Personal experience not my girl friends fathers uncle jimmys hot rod magazine article Lol
