2002 Road King Screamin Eagle. I replaced the battery, tried to install the Saddleman seat. The seat pan hits the top of the battery, and will not fit. The seat needs to go down about 3 inches, did not measure the lack of height.
Any thoughts? I am having severe withdrawel pains missing all this good riding weather
Just out of curiosity, was the Saddle man seat on your bike before you replaced the battery? If it was, did you happen to buy a different size battery or maybe not have the battery all the way down as far as it will go?
Sorry to take so long to respond. The dog ate my computer or some other lame excuse.
The Saddleman seat was on the bike when I bought it.
It was the correct battery, I sent the old battery so I would get the right one.
The problem was the battery would not get seated when I dropped in place.
So I had Dee get me some slippery ribbon, which was purple to match bike. I put the ribbon under the battery, that allowed me to jiggle the battery until it dropped into place. No problem, all is good, now I am putting the bags back into place.
