Splicing electrical wires is no big deal for me (Electrical Engineering Major). But the changing of brake/clutch cables plus the front brake oil line and bleeding it is the part that made me go to the shop. I think I will have to see what the cost of the cables would be and just do the dam swap myself. I do everything else on it, so that would be no biggie. I just wanted to get it done quick cause I work over 60hrs/wk and plan on taking the bike from NY to Cape May/Atlantic City/Jersey Shore on July 4th weekend.
Any suggestions on where to get the cable kit?

Check sites like J&P cycle, get the part numbers for what you need and then shop around. I could be off depending on what you get but you could still spend a few hundred on cables.

There was more work then you realized. Which is why you brought it in, because you didn't know.

I brought it in because I didn't think it would be a lot of work.

If I had thought it was a lot of work, I wouldn't have brought it in in the first place.

That said, looking at my handlebar, cables and tank screws, it looks as if he didn't even take anything off. If he would've taken the front tank screws off and lifted the tank, he would've seen the electrical wires rolled up and zip tied under the tank.

Most likely, the electrical wires will reach with no extensions done to it.

I know for sure the brake oil line has to be replaced with a longer one, which is the main reason I took it in, since I didn't want to deal with the oil mess it involves replacing it and then bleeding them.

I live in an apartment and do all the work on my bike on the street in front of the building. So making an oil mess would not be a good idea since where I live is the only building on that street, then its all private houses and the neighbors are a little uptight.
They would most likely call environmental protection on my *** for spilling oil on the curb. LMAO

Didn't your guy tell you how much it was going to be before he started the job?

Besides, tall bars belong on choppers and choppers don't have wires cluttering up the handle bars. I would not take my stock bike and then have tall bars sticking out of it. But that's just my opinion.

Looks good-

Looks silly-
