Default Camchest oil quantity

I just got done putting cams in my bike whenever I open the can chest to make sure the oil was circulating it seems like an unusual amount came out right at three quarters of a quart how much should be in there?

I don't know how much is "supposed" to be in there but I recently did a cam swap and I would guess that there was no more than 6-8 ounces (1/2 qt.) in there.

Not much came out of my touring, oil pan is under the motor as opposed to my buddy's Softail with the oil tank above the motor, he had a bit of a mess

You`d never make it as a bartender in England...

8 ounces =1/2 pint

Over here a pint is 20 ounces, so a half pint is ten. Cheers!

I guess I wouldn`t make it as a bartender over there either...

Leave it to the British to fit 20 ounces into a pint, now that`s the way to measure beer.

On the OP`s question, I can`t answer, not a Twin Cam guy (yet).

Dan, you'll be just fine, it's really easy over here - all our glasses take Imperial pints or halves........

Haha, you really got me on that one. No wonder my pub bill never fails to shock me!

Actually was thinking 1/2 pint but I was really thirsty when I posted.

I am guessing this a gravity thing. On my FLH it made a little mess, but not 3 quarts.
