about a month ago I started having problems with acceleration, idle is fine.
so far, here is what has been done:
new spark plugs
all internal tank hoses replaced
fuel line replaced
dealer reprogrammed stage I mapping (vance & Hines straight shots)
fuel pump replaced
the 8 degree injectors were replaced with the 25 degree injectors way back when, but apparently the mapping was never changed. I have had the bike for a year and put around 9,000 miles on her. NEVER had any acceleration problems ever. dealer test rode after the mapping was changed and said it was fixed. if I take her out she sputters occasionally on acceleration and on deceleration i get some backfire occasionally. Needless to say, it makes it difficult to ride when you do not know if you are going to get the proper throttle response. Yesterday I pulled everything from the tank and readjusted, tightened and reinstalled. Again, starts up strong and idles perfectly. Take off and then the hesitation occurs.
So if anyone has had similar issues, or has any ideas, please do share them. I am at my wits end and with all the great weather and not being able to ride it is salt in a very big wound.
