So I ditched the Arlen ness big sucker for a DK Custom Hi Flow 587, partly for oil breathers (getting black powder coated horseshoe from NHRS) but also for knee clearance. Kept banging my knee on the ham can on the high way.
So now I have the exposed element, and I dont like the look. I like the black ham can stock look. So I was going to weld on 2 nuts to the DK 'faceplate' but now Im wondering, will that deflect the wind too much and make it suck up the really hot air from the engine?
Im guessing maybe with a stock engine at more than 5mph it might be negligible? andif im doing it for looks, do it how I want it to look..
