Default Iron head project
Just picked up this bike,shifter does nothing,but before. Go their I have to make sure what motor I am dealing with,it's a 1970 xlch according to vin # starts with 4a motor,and frame are numbered alike,I thinks it a 1000 have to find a manual on ebay

I spent more time wrenching and waiting for parts than riding when I owned a '67 Ironhead about 20 years ago.

Best advice I can give sell it now and hope you break even.
