2015 xl1200 custom speedometer /riser

i know this topic has been beat to death, but all posts I've seen about this , have been related to older model sportsters.. Not sure if that would directly relate to me or if there is subtle changes between older and newer years(assumed there was)
recently bought mini apes and do not like the way they look with the stock custom speedo/risers
has anyone cut a 2014-2016 custom speedo riser? If so how much? Have any pics?
also if I'm not able to cut it, I will probably get rid of speedo all together and just purchase joker bar indicator ,
any thoughts on this ?
