Changing out handlebars on street glide

Default Changing out handlebars on street glide

I'm fixin to put some new handlebars on my street glide and was wondering if it is necessary to disconnect the battery are will just pulling the main fuse be a safe way to go are is it not necessary to do either one. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks Willie

I Just pulled the fuse when I did mine last year. Good luck and post up the finished pics when you get done.

Thanks for the reply. Still waiting on them to ship, will post pics. when done.

I put Chubb handlebars on mine (2012 SG), & ended up putting a longer clutch cable on. Hope this helps

Got them finished today. Much better than the stock bars.

When putting 12 inch paul yaffe apes on a 2016 SG do you need any extensions? I've been getting mixed answers.

Some people have had luck rerouting the stock cables, others replaced them with +2" and did them that way - this is why you read mixed results
