Check Engine Light - Road King

Would a Harley throw out a Check Engine light if it had a blown fuse, tailight fuse to be exact??

It might, Taillight power also powers the Speedo.. It will likely toss a code if the ABS fuse blows..

Not sure about the code, but the check engine light came on the dash. I just recently upgraded my handlebars and internally wired everything. Checked all the lights and everything worked fine, BUT when I was putting on the switch housing I pinched one of the wires and shorted it to ground, blew a fuse. So I believe that was the reason for the light. I rode home right after that to check everything out and discovered the pinched wire problem. This happened last weekend and I haven't ridden since, its been cold as **** here in Michigan and rainy.
