What the hell is 22PLE because I`ll stay away from it? I`ve NEVER had the results you`re talking about when using Original Bike Spirits. Best, fastest polish for a quick detailing job I have ever used.

I wrote, my bike is COATED with 22PLE. Coated= PAINT COATING. It is a quartz based coating, think wax on massive steroids. Coatings repel water, dirt, dust, everything. Keeps paint cleaner longer.

http://www.detailedimage.com/22ple-M...1114/30-ml-S1/

I stated it was my experience and that 22PLE could have been the issue. Would I ever NOT have a paint coating on my bike, or truck, so I could use BS? HELL NO!

Plenty of waterless wash concentrates that do a incredible job and much much cheaper.

Oh, if you think you are polishing paint out of a aerosol can, you are incorrect. Impossible to do that out of a aerosol can.

Here is Mike Phillips definition of medium polish.

Medium Cut Polish
A liquid or paste that uses some type of abrasive technology to cut or abrade the paint but is less aggressive than a true cutting compound. Depending upon the abrasive technology and the application method and material, some medium polishes can remove down to #2000 grit sanding marks and finish out to LSP ready. Topcoat hardness is an important factor that affects a medium polish's effectiveness at removing below surface defects.

Most medium polishes are dedicated products in that their function is primarily to abrade the paint. For this reason, after the polishing step further steps are required, which may include another final polishing step depending upon the results after using the medium polish and the expectations by the user for the end results. At a minimum, the paint should be sealed with a wax, paint sealant or coating.

This is pretty much all i use. I live on a dirt road and no matter what i do the bike gets dusty. This works great with microfibre towel.

Well my bike is Vivid Black so I guess it`s not coated with 22PLE, which to me, is a good thing.

My bike is also vivid black and a road glide so lots of it. I detail cars for a side gig so I have seen super soft paint, Suburu, and "concrete paint" Audi. Vivid black is the softest paint I have ever worked on. Look at it wrong and it will mar.
I get it that not everyone cares what their paint looks like. Thats fine with me. Some people like there paint to always look as best as it can. Whatever makes you happy.

I didn't bash your bike spirits. What I was stating is that it doesn't play well with the coating I have on my bike. I have detailed cars, trucks, bikes for a long time and I know when some things don't work well together and this is one of them.
When I applied the coating to my bike after polishing it out, with a Flex machine not a aerosol can, I have only washed it. Cant dispute the results

Yeah, I see where 19 years of washing with dishwashing liquid really took its toll on my old '89 shown here still wearing her original paint, shining like new in 2008. Some guys will believe anything.... bet you purchased their special car wash soap too didnt ya. better go out an buy that clay bar too so you can pull the debris out of your old wax.

"Some guys will believe anything.."? What am I believing that is incorrect?

I have 8 different car washing "Soaps" currently. A few soaps, some rinse less washes and some waterless washes. They are not only for my vehicles but customers vehicles also. They all serve a specific purpose.

I have some clay but I use a clay mitt mostly. Its a very very important step when detailing. Have you ever decontaminated paint before? Used Iron X?

A picture from 10ft away is not impressive to me at all.

Im not here to tell anybody what to do. Their bike their choice.

YMMV but if I have to wash, I use the soap sparingly, wash, then apply another coat of Liquid Glass (a wax). In between I use Maguilars quick detail. Paint looks like new. Chrome polish in the chrome and good as new

Scrubbing bubbles on engine and wheels. Easy to find, cheap, works well on chrome or aluminum. Been recommended here by many, have been using it for years.

For everything else, any car wash soap that is on sale diluted in a bucket of warm water with a car wash mitt. YD
