Default No Rear Brake

I was riding my bike today in town today and I had to brake a couple of times and i noticed that the brakes were working fine. I then got on the highway and cruised about 20 miles to my parents house. When i was getting ready to turn off the highway i started to slow with the front brake, about a second later i went to step on the rear break and noticed that it went straight down, with no stopping at all. Once i got stopped at my parents i noticed that therew was a strong odor of buring brake pads and some scratches on the rotor. I was wondering if anyone would happen to have any idea what might be going on before i take it to the dealership to get worked on.

BTW it is a 2006 FLTRI with 11k on it.

Default RE: No Rear Brake

Possibly the brake pad is hanging up on the slide rails resulting in the pad rubbing the rotor and heating up the brake fluid which makes the fluid useless. Take the pads out of the caliper, grease the slide rails, flush the old fluid out with new and see if that fixes the problem.
