Default Saddlemen seat installation

Hello everyone,

First post here and I'm excited to be part of the community.

I have a 2005 FXDLI and I'm loving learning about Harley Davidsons. I just received my saddlemen step up seat and during installation I noticed I had to press the back end of the seat down onto the fender to get the bolt threaded. Should it be a tight fit to get the seat bolt threaded?

Thanks for any opinions.

Ok, thanks for the reply. It's my first bike so I'm probably a little more paranoid than I need to be.

And check the fender bolt often. Not a problem it's just Harleys vibrate and **** comes loose.

I'm betting the hardware store has something similar to that extended bolt.
